Environmental science seems to play an important role for many emerging careers within business, government, education or nonprofit world. Dealing with aspects of sustainability, environmental protection, clean energy, climate adaptation, or coastal management, Environmental Science takes different aspects from a variety of sciences – biology, physical science and earth sciences – and apply them to better understand the relationship between humans and the environment we live in.

Tutoring in Los Angeles offers in-home or virtual tutoring sessions with tutors who have experience and education in this area and a passion for environment and its protection. They can assist with teaching students how to apply scientific thinking to current issues and challenges, so that the students can learn to think and reason scientifically.

High school environmental science lessons cover a broad scope of topics including ecology, the biosphere, land, forests and soil, water, energy and resources, and societies and policy. Some of the goals of the course include:

  • Understanding how systems in the natural world are interconnected.
  • Examining the natural cycles of energy flow and evaluating how human interaction affects these cycles.
  • Modeling real-world situations and recognizing possible consequences of specific actions.
  • Defending the best choices to protect the environment with changing trends in human population.
  • Interpreting evidence and learning to report on environmental conditions and hazards.

The AP course covers similar topics, but with more rigorous scientific concepts and tools. College Board published the course content that will be covered on the EP exam as following:
