SESSIONS
Our tutoring sessions are scheduled to the best convenience of the students and tutors. We are offering multiple options to accommodate your needs in terms of frequency of the sessions, the duration of the sessions and the place where the tutoring take place.
We offer a large variety of academic and test preparation and our youngest students are 6 years old. We don't have an age limit, and we encourage everybody, regardless of age to pursue academic advancement or personal improvement in the form of a writing coach or a foreign language conversation partner or any other academic activities.
Based on our experience, the duration of the tutoring sessions depends on the student's age and particularities.
The client may increase or decrease the number of the tutoring sessions per week as needed in agreement with the assigned tutor. The minimum length of a session is 1 hour with additional prorated increments of 15 minutes.
The duration of the sessions is established in agreement with the students, parents, the agency and the tutor. For maximum efficiency, we recommend to have tutoring sessions of 1 hour for students K-10, and 1 ½ for high school students. College students and adults are most efficient with sessions of 1 ½ to 2 hours. These are just recommendations and suggestions based on our experience. Each student is different and we are willing to adjust the number of sessions and the duration of each tutoring session to the individual need of the student.
Usually, the sessions take place in your home. The warm environment of your house makes our students more comfortable and able to focus for the entire duration of the tutoring session. However, if you prefer to meet the tutor in a public place, you have the option of deciding for a place in agreement with the tutor assigned to you by Tutoring in Los Angeles.
We carefully select our tutors and constantly monitor their activity and accomplishments. Therefore, we have a positive experience in placing the right tutor for the first time. However, if you feel that the tutor is not the right match, we will be happy to find you a new tutor that is the perfect match.
Cancellation policy : The client must notify the tutor 24 hours in advance if he/she intends to cancel an appointment. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be charged in full.

All of our tutors have tutoring and/or teaching experience and at least a bachelors degree; most of them have masters degrees, doctoral degrees or teaching credentials in their fields.

There is NO assessment fee or registration fee. We don't have a requirement of a minimum number of sessions and we send out the invoices twice a month.
